Why Fiduciary Practice™?

The fiduciary profession has historically lacked a standard onboarding path.

 

Certification courses teach you what a conservatorship is, but not how to set up your entity, open the right bank accounts, build an intake process, structure your fees, or plan for the months between your first appointment and your first compensation.

 

Fiduciary Practice™ was built by active practitioners to close that gap. Every module addresses a real operational challenge that practitioners face in their first year, with the specificity and depth that generic business training does not provide.

 

The complete curriculum, including Introduction to The Fiduciary Method™, is approved for 9.25 continuing education units (CEUs) by the Center for Guardianship Certification (CGC).

What You'll Learn

A seven-module curriculum covering what no one else teaches you before your first appointment:

Module 0: Introduction to The Fiduciary Method™ (included free)

The framework underlying every module in the Fiduciary Practice curriculum. Introduces the five integrated systems of the Fiduciary Method and the Integrated Practice Cycle: the seven-step decision-making process that governs how practitioners assess, verify, plan, act, document, review, and advance in every engagement. This foundational course is included at no cost with Module 1 or any bundle, and is also available as a free standalone course.
 

Module 1: Business Formation and Practice Models

Entity structure selection, practice model evaluation, fee structure design, and insurance and bonding assessment. The operational decisions that define your practice before you accept your first case.

Module 2: Legal and Operational Foundations

Authority verification, two-track financial management (practice finances and client funds), compliance infrastructure, and the legal and operational framework that protects both you and your clients.

Module 3: Systems and Market Development

Standard operating procedures, referral network strategy, market positioning, and the infrastructure that makes your practice referable and operationally consistent from day one.

Module 4: Client Onboarding and Service Excellence

Intake processes, engagement documentation, authority verification workflows, case file organization, and the service delivery framework that defines the client experience.

Module 5: Ethics and Decision-Making in Practice

Conflict of interest protocols, professional boundaries, and the Integrated Practice Cycle applied to ethical reasoning. How to make defensible decisions when the right answer is not obvious.

Module 6: Technology, Tools, and Systems for Practice

Case management platform evaluation, secure communication standards, document management, and SOP-to-system integration. Building a technology stack that meets fiduciary-specific requirements.

Module 7: Financial and Operational Planning for Launch

First-year budgeting with fiduciary-specific expenses, the court-approved compensation cycle, month-by-month cash flow projection, and successor fiduciary planning. The financial reality of launching and sustaining a fiduciary practice.

Each module includes scenario-based application exercises, knowledge reviews with worked answers, and direct connections to the Fiduciary Toolkit™.
