Certified Fiduciary: Credentialing Track
Overview: Why Credentialing Matters

Becoming a professional fiduciary is more than just learning tasks—it’s about earning the trust of courts, families, and institutions. Credentials show that you meet recognized standards of knowledge, ethics, and professionalism. They demonstrate to clients, referral partners, and the courts that you’re prepared to carry out fiduciary responsibilities with competence and integrity.

Certified Fiduciary is our structured, step-by-step program designed to help you build the knowledge, skills, and confidence you need to qualify for credentialing, meet licensing standards, and succeed in fiduciary practice.

What’s Included in the Certified Fiduciary

Certified Fiduciary is organized into core modules that align with the requirements and expectations of credentialing organizations and state licensing bodies. This curriculum is yet to be developed but will include:

  • A core set of modules ensuring a deep understanding of fiduciary practices
  • Supplemental learning, including case studies that bring concepts to life

  • Practice exercises with real-world scenarios

  • Access to resources from the Fiduciary Toolkit to support your work

From Learning to Credentialing

Certified Fiduciary won't just teach theory—it’s designed to align with the competencies required for professional fiduciary certification and state-level licensing*.

  • You’ll complete each module with assessments that mirror the kinds of skills credentialing bodies evaluate.

  • You’ll develop a professional portfolio of work samples (such as accountings, intake checklists, and compliance reports).

  • By the end of the program, you’ll be equipped to meet credentialing requirements with confidence—and to step into your fiduciary career with the credibility that comes from recognized training.

Whether your state requires licensing or you’re pursuing voluntary certification (such as National Certified Guardian status), Certified Fiduciary gives you the foundation to move forward.

*Each state has unique requirements. Refer to your state's requirements for certification and licensing.
